Bespoke eyewear design and production training courses

The MOF Eyewear School trains students to prototype eyewear frames for the production of unique bespoke pieces or small production runs.
The principle of the training is based on the transmission of MOF experience to trainees, both during the courses themselves (one MOF trainer for 3 trainees) and also through remote post-training follow-up. Customized courses can be created for groups of opticians or optical and eyewear companies on selected topics.
For non-French speakers, the courses are fully and simultaneously translated into English, thanks to the presence of our interpreter specialising in eyewear: Andrew Rynne.

The prototype training workshop is located in Morez, the historic centre of the French eyewear industry. It’s equipped to accommodate 6 trainees and a similar number of machines and pieces of equipment per person.
All disciplines are represented, including making frames by hand, machine, CAD / CNC / laser / 3D in acetate, metal, wood and horn, as well as courses on modifying, adapting and repairing eyewear frames.

Whether eyewear makers, designers or prototype specialists, the trainers in the MOF Eyewear School will pass on their passion and know-how to you.
